A Traditional Variety Theatre in the Heart of Derby

This is the current access to the fly tower and all that lies above the current stage false ceilings.

Amazingly the original iron curtain still hangs in the flys.

The grid is made of wood and would require replacing if the Hippodrome was ever to be re-used as a theatre.

The grid is held in place by only four wooden beams which span the width of the stage!
