A Traditional Variety Theatre in the Heart of Derby

Here we see the upper circle seating nearly in full. This upper circle or 'balcony' currently houses 300 seats but was originally fitted with benches making its capacity much more. These would have been the cheapest seats in the house due to their distance from the stage and the sometimes uncomfortable conditions endured in the 'Gods'.
